REBUILDING JUNTOS 2026
Rebuilding Juntos celebrates Hispanic Heritage month by bringing financial support and volunteers to add the finishing touches to homes in Houston's historic East End.
Presenting Sponsor Reliant partnered with KHOU to complete painting and exterior repairs for Mrs. Zapata, a widow who has lived at her home for 25 years. Previous contractor repairs provided by RTH included a new roof, electrical and plumbing upgrades, and accessibility improvements, adding 20+ years to the life of the home, allowing Mrs. Zapata to age in place, and pass her home on to the next generation of her family.
Cheniere Energy partnered with CW39 H-Town Live to complete home repairs for Ms. Almaguer, a retired employee of the Galena Park library. RTH contractor repairs addressed Hurricane Beryl roof damage, upgraded the electrical system, and removed the bathtub to install a low curb shower, adding 20+ years to the life of the home.
Houston Dynamo, Houston Dash, and Regions Bank partnered to complete exterior repairs for Magnolia Park homeowner Mr. Salazar, a retired cook and maintenance worker facing daily living challenges following a recent stroke. Critical accessibility and safety upgrades provided by RTH—including a walk-in shower, new water heater, upgraded electrical panel, and new flooring—will assist him and his caregiving daughters, ensuring he can continue living safely and comfortably in his home. The Salazar grandchildren, big soccer fans, also helped rebuild the home the Salazar family will cherish for years to come!
Rebuilding Juntos is a celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. 178 East End Homes have received RTH repairs since 2019 — an investment of over $3.7 million dollars, funded by our corporate and foundation partners. In the East End, we have over 100 families waiting for our services. RTH needs donations to pay for constructions, and we welcome volunteers to help. Neighbors helping neighbors.
