Rebuilding Juntos during the fall of 2024 celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month and Community Revitalization, which provides home repairs in the East End at no cost to homeowners. We believe everyone has a right to a safe, healthy, and resilient home that protects them against disaster. Homes have received a variety of contractor work including roof restoration, structural stabilization, electrical and plumbing repairs. The work culminates with volunteers completing exterior repairs and painting in September and October.
East End Community Revitalization began in 2019 and has completed construction on 144 homes. We have started reparis at 4 more homes and 32 are approved but waiting for funding. 66 additional families have applications in process.
To recognize Hispanic residents as a cornerstone of the Houston area, RTH is partnering with community organizations, representatives, and businesses to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.
