Hurricane Preparedness Kits
Our program for East End Community Revitalization is mainly focused on home repair, but it takes many other forms too, such a small business repair and now, thanks to the Home Depot Foundation, Hurricane Preparedness Kits.
On August 14, we partnered with The Home Depot Foundation to supply 200 East End families with free Hurricane Preparedness Kits, as part of the Back to School event hosted by Silvia Trevino, Harris County Constable Precinct 6. Karla Cisneros, City Council Member Dist H, also participated in the event.
Hundreds of cars lined up for the event and the Home Depot volunteers got to meet lots of happy kids!
Buckets contained supplies that will help keeping homes clean during the health threat of COVID-19, as well as materials for hurricane preparedness.
The kits included:
Nitrile Work Gloves
Disposable Nitrile gloves
N95 Valved Respirator 5 pack
39 Gallon Trash Bags
Disinfectant Wipes
Disinfectant Spray
Disinfectant Liquid Cleaner
Heavy Duty Scrub Sponges
Home Depot Bucket
