Extreme summer heat is threatening Houston area residents more than ever this year. Low-income families living in aging homes with inefficient temperature control and poor air quality are most at risk for health and safety challenges. $500 provides an energy efficient window AC /Heater unit to keep families safe year round. Extreme Heat
Temperature control is part of our Safe and Sound Services Program, sponsored by Houston Methodist Hospital. RTH provides energy efficient window AC /Heater units. To support this program, please make a donation. $500 provides potentially lifesaving temperature control to another neighbor in need. During times of extreme heat, you can make a difference!
Hurricanes & Roofs
To protect families and property from hurricanes and other storms, nothing is more important than a secure roof. But many of Houston’s low-income homeowners can’t afford the high costs of replacing a leaking roof. So this hurricane season, Rebuilding Together Houston and GAF is assisting low-income elderly, U.S. Military Veterans, and working families in need, all at no cost to them.
S.H.A.P.E. Community Center Revitalization
This summer we’re renovating this historic Third Ward institution, established in 1969, thanks to a National Neighborhood Promise Grant from Republic Services.
