Tools + Materials

Rebuilding Together Houston provides all the building materials necessary to complete home repairs. This includes paint, lumber, nails, caulk, glass, screens, doors, windows, and hardware. Each crew will receive a work order that includes a material list which they will pick up from the Rebuilding Together Houston warehouse.

For Harvey-impacted homes, tools and safety gear will be provided. For all other homes, we highly recommend tool and gear rental from our partner, Houston Community ToolBank. ToolBank lends tools to nonprofit organizations for a minimal fee, and tools may be borrowed for up to eight weeks. It is important to note that the use of ToolBank equipment for personal benefit is prohibited, and all visits to the ToolBank are by appointment only.
