Safe housing is not a luxury. It is a basic human need. Every day, seniors, veterans, and families in our community struggle to live in homes that require critical repairs. Rebuilding Together Houston provides those repairs free of charge. This season of giving, your support can change a life.
Rebuilding Together Houston is our region’s leader in home repair. In 43 years, we have repaired the homes of more than 15,000 families at no cost to them. We stretch every dollar to reach more neighbors in need. For the cost of building one new home, RTH can repair up to 12 homes. With more than 100,000 families living in hazardous housing across Houston and Harris County, we will never give up. But we need your help.

Celebrating Veterans Day!
Rebuilding Together Houston proudly hosted our first annual United to Honor celebration—an event dedicated to recognizing and supporting local military families through meaningful home repair projects. This multi-day initiative brought together two outstanding volunteer partners, H-E-B and the Houston Rockets, each committing a full day of service to a veteran homeowner.
H-E-B’s Veterans PRG group, as apart of Operation Appreciation, focused their United to Honor workday on Ms. Linda Bryant, a U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force veteran who has lived in her home for 26 years. H-E-B’s team completed essential repairs, including painting and landscaping, and also presented Ms. Bryant with a $500 gift card to honor her service and support her household needs.
As part of the Houston Rockets’ Hoops for Troops initiative, more than 30 active-duty U.S. Navy service members joined Rockets legends Calvin Murphy and Reed Sheppard, the Clutch City Dancers, and Mascot Clutch to complete repairs at Ms. Nevelyn Williams’s home. A proud Air Force veteran, Ms. Williams has lived in her family home for more than 30 years. Volunteers primed and painted, completed landscaping, and built a picnic table and grab bar to enhance safety and accessibility, while the Rockets also gifted her a new computer to support her continued education and lifelong learning.
Rebuilding Together Houston is proud to honor veterans and their families. Through events like United to Honor, we help preserve the comfort, independence, and legacy of those who have served.
