Hot Topics ImageApril + May 2016 – This spring, nearly 100 crews, comprised of 20-30 volunteers each, performed exterior home repairs -- scraping, caulking, painting, replacing damaged siding, windows or doors, and constructing wheelchair ramps – all at no cost to the homeowners.

“As the Baby Boom generation continues to age into retirement, most want to remain in the homes for which they worked and saved, and where they raised their families,” says Jim Soller, RTH Executive Director. “For those on low- or fixed-income, upkeep and repair can be problematic and that’s where Houston’s most caring volunteers join with Rebuilding Together to provide a safe, warm, dry and healthy home for those in need. Thanks to caring volunteer crews from ExxonMobil, NRG, Chase, Second Baptist Church, Cameron and many others, our neighbors can age in place with dignity, comfort and safety.”
