Chita Craft

Chita Craft

OCCUPATION: Meteorologist at KHOU 11 News since 2011

WHY: “Looking ahead to Super Bowl LI, Super Impact 17 will show the nation how Houstonians come together to better the community we live and work in. This is something we are proud to support at KHOU 11. I’m excited to work with Rebuilding Together Houston to make a difference in the lives of these deserving families.”

WHAT ELSE: At the end of September 2015, Chita competed in 104.1 KRBE’s DJ’ing with the Stars competition on behalf of Rebuilding Together Houston. She’ll always be our favorite DJ!

FUN: Chita -- pronounced Cheetah -- is a family name. In fact, there are five generations of mother-daughter Chitas in her family.

Tracy Bridge

OCCUPATION: CenterPoint Energy’s Executive Vice President and President of the Electric -- began his career with CenterPoint Energy in 1986.

WHY: “CenterPoint Energy supports Rebuilding Together Houston because our Vision is to ‘lead the nation in delivering energy, service and value.’ Supporting Rebuilding Together Houston helps us lead by delivering corporate contributions and employees’ energy, in service and value to our communities. Our employees love to get involved in community projects. And, stronger communities make our company stronger. Supporting Rebuilding Together Houston is good for business. It’s the right thing to do!”

Butch Alsandor

OCCUPATION: Professional sportscaster, covering sports in Houston for more than 20 years

WHY: “The need for the work Rebuilding Together does is increasing, and that’s where Super Impact 17 comes in. To achieve anything, you have to have a goal. Raising half a million dollars to help aging homeowners will be a challenge. But when you think of the lives that will be impacted, you know the effort will be worthwhile. And, Houston, being the exceptionally community-minded city that it is, will respond generously.”

WHAT ELSE: During his career, Butch has covered five Super Bowls, two NBA Finals with the Rockets, the Astros in the World Series, plus numerous All-Star games in the NBA, MLB, and MLS. He has also covered the Final Four twice and numerous NCAA Tournament games. He has won numerous AP awards for the Best Sportscast and Best Sports feature.

FUN: Butch is also on the board of directors for the Lighthouse of Houston and Houston Christian High School.
